Ex-Inter midfielder taunts Ibrahimovic with Sanremo jibe after early derby exit

By Oliver Fisher -

Former Inter midfielder Nicola Berti has taunted Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win in yesterday’s derby.

It wasn’t Ibrahimovic or Milan’s day at San Siro as the Swede was denied multiple times by an inspired Samir Handanovic, with the Nerazzurri running out 3-0 winners thanks to a brace from Lautaro Martinez and a third goal from Romelu Lukaku.

There was somewhat of a strange substitution in the closing stages as Samu Castillejo came on for Ibra with Milan needing goals. However, as revealed by Stefano Pioli himself at the end of the game, the 39-year-old asked for a change due to physical discomfort.

Speaking to DAZN (via MilanNews) after the game, the Milan head coach confirmed that Ibra was replaced due to a cramp in his calf.

Berti provoked the Milan star after the game, suggesting that his mind was already at next week’s music festival.

“It wasn’t an easy game for Inter, we suffered for 10 or 15 minutes, but it’s impossible to win a derby without suffering. I didn’t expect Inter to be so much superior. Talking about that, why did Ibra leave the pitch early? Was it to do a rehearsal for Sanremo?” he said (via Football Italia).

  1. We all AC MILAN fans are quite because we know that we have to be patient with the team, they are not at there prime, even their level best , if inter fans become so toxic then they deserve to be called snakes.
