AC Milan are evaluating several candidates for the managerial position, and it seems that Giorgio Furlani has highlighted a candidate himself.
With the news about Massimiliano Allegri this afternoon, it seems like the head coach situation may not be as progressed as it may have seemed. By all accounts, the Italian was the heavy favourite to move to Milan, but this has now, seemingly, changed.
So, it is back to the drawing board. As Corriere dello Sport (via Milan Press) write this afternoon, it would seem that Cesc Fabregas is ‘gaining importance’ in the race, and Furlani is having a big influence on this so far. The CEO likes his status and idea of football, and this view is shared by his associates also.
There would be a few issues with this though. Primarily, the Spaniard has invested in the club himself, so if he were to leave, he would have to sell his shares, if he does not, he cannot become the head coach of another club.
Following this, there is not a conviction to leave Como just yet, largely due to the risk of jumping ship at this point after only one year. That being said, a move to the Rossoneri would be an important step and assessments will be made by both parties in the next few weeks.
Italiano is a better option in my opinion and he has a longer track record. Give him the players he needs and get rid of the prima-donna players like Theo and Leao who believe they don’t need to work for the team.
Dan N’Doye is proving himself at Bologna and he works hard on and off the pitch. He can be a back up for Pulisic on the left and sign Noni Madueke for the RW.
In my opinion, on the contrary, the best option for our Milan right now is Fabregas. If Conceição doesn’t want to stay, because Fabregas is building an extremely attacking team with the players we have, he can achieve this. But in any case, any coach who comes in must leave Liao, because the national team, which also plays, only makes mistakes to the detriment of the team. But Theo’s morals have changed, and he is no longer marginal. Theo has become an experienced player, he should stay, they should extend his salary with a high salary.
I get leao not working on defence is annoying however his game relys on his speed on the counter and when was he the most affective ? Easy when he was standning at the halfway line to start a counter i dont see why everyone wants to change him him working def means he will then be more tired and not in the same postions to recive the ball on the counter
I hope cesc fabrigas will be the next Milan coach we need to control the game better and I thing he’s the only one can do it
control the game? like Fonseca?
we need coach who know to kill the game like Klopp
Keep Conceicao to finish his job. With him we’ll surely be great and play better come next season.
THERE’S BEEN ABSOLUTELY ZERO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THAT STATEMENT.
He’s coached what, about 20 games now? I’ve seen no improvement. Not one good complete game among them. Still play terribly every first half and then forced to come from behind in every match. Can’t keep a clean sheet ever. He has no tactics. He’s over his head in this league. Go back to the portuguese league.
I agree with you or bring Conte
What a dumb story….. we want to stabilize the club yet CorSport thinks Fabregas is the man? 🤣
If Fabrigas is a minority owner of Como he would be an idiot to quit and sell his stake now when the club value is only starting to rise just so he can become a Milan coach and get fired 3,4 months into the season.
Agree
It’s all because he will receive little salary and help balance the books. Joke of the century
Conte or Max not this boys scout new comer.
hope Como owner buy Milan

I agree with you just get their replacement but keep them
LoL maybe the director or advisor (all clowns) affraid if they choose Conte, Max, or others seniors. They affraid of their power
100% quality experienced coach would clash with management, cheap newbie won’t
Don’t believe this , few days ago it was Alegri and there was also call 😀😀 and now it is Fabregas.
And in the end it will be Conceicao
Another cheap newbie? Yeah, I smell 4 consecutive scudetti coming this way. Probably 2-3 UCL trophies as well. I mean, Cesc has already proven to be in the level of Sacchi, Capello & Ancelotti, right?
Fabregas – trophies won : 0
Allegri – trophies won – 12
Simply put
If it’s Fabregas no problem but let’s give Conceicao time, but as of Allegri no way he has done Acmilan excess harm so is better he goes to his Juventus because we tha true die hard Acmilan fan don’t need him.
It appears that the same mistakes are to be repeated with the selection of a capable coach. Management are never going to get this right especially when the personnel at the top are not Italians. What would Furlani knows about football. If they aren’t considering Allegri vs $$$$ then the exact disaster is going to repeat itself. The best way to get management to do the right thing for the club and its fans is for the supports to stop attending games. No income will soon get the message. Forza Milan
Milan opt for cheap newbie coaches because if they had an experienced coach they would clash with the administration. The experienced coach would point out the poor transfer strategies and lack of purchasing quality players, or selling quality players and replacing them with young cheap potential. Allegri, Mancini, Anceloti, Conte, Spalletti all decent italian coaches that are proven winners won’t be at milan until milan decides to get serious. Allegri or Mancini are probably the best current options available. The belief that Allegri coaches boring defensive ball is incorrect he has had several highly offensive sides throughout his career. Motta hasn’t been about to produce much offense with the current Juventus side either. Allegri won a a scudetto and supercoppa with Milan, also had three 50%+ win and champions league qualification seasons with milan. I find it funny that stability and consistency is expected with the results yet nothing has been stable nor consistent with the team/organization. He haven’t had a consistent coach, roster, starting line up, formation, etc…the idea that you can swap 5-10 players every transfer window. Well the proof is in the pudding. Conceicao and Fonseca aren’t proven coaches in Serie A, never coached a big market club to success and haven’t shown much in terms of play style to suggest they can “get it right”. The idea of a sporting director, throwing another chef in the kitchen, is more of a scapegoat / layer of protection for the ownership and management. This way they can blame the new sporting director if the results are poor.
