Fabrizio Romano confirms striker will undergo Milan medical ahead of €1m move from Chelsea

Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that AC Milan are on the verge of signing Olivier Giroud from Chelsea on a two-year deal.

Milan are just one step away from securing the signing of Giroud, per the latest reports. The Frenchman will be the deputy for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and despite his age, he could be a good addition to the team.

This past season, Giroud bagged four goals in 17 league appearances for the Stamford Bridge side, mostly coming off the bench. In the Champions League, though, he was a lot more impressive with six goals in eight appearances.

According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano, the 34-year-old Frenchman is expected to fly to Milano this week in order to complete his move to Milan, and he will undergo his medical in the coming days.

Personal terms over a contract until June 2023 have been agreed with the former Arsenal man, while Chelsea will receive €1m as a guaranteed fee plus €1m as potential bonuses.
