AC Milan are working ahead of time to try and reach an agreement over the renewal of Franck Kessie, Fabrizio Romano reports.
If the Donnarumma and Calhanoglu situations have taught the club anything, it’s that letting a contract run into its final year is a dangerous game to play. One player with a deal expiring at the end of next season is Franck Kessie, a man who has become an immovable part of Pioli’s starting XI and has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the league over the past 12 months.
According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano (via R1F), Milan have planned a meeting with Kessie’s agent George Atangana to discuss his contract which is set to expire in June 2022. So far there is still no agreement, but Milan are continuing to work ahead of time because they do not want to lose one of their best players.
