Fabrizio Romano outlines extend of Milan and Spurs’ interest in €30m+ Sampdoria star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Spurs are both keen on Mikkel Damsgaard of Sampdoria but it will not be an easy negotiation, Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

A number of different sources have reported that Milan want to sign Damsgaard as he is having a fantastic European Championships with Denmark after a promising first year in Serie A with Sampdoria. Considering he is only 20 years of age, there appears to be a lot of potential in the player.

According to the latest from journalist Fabrizio Romano (via @Route1futbol), Tottenham have scouted Mikkel Damsgaard for a long time in recent months but there have been no offers nor is there any advanced negotiations.

He adds that Milan have always appreciated Damsgaard, but it is not an easy deal with Sampdoria who, we can infer, are likely to want a big sum to sell such a talented forward. Samp president Massimo Ferrero recently told Rai GR Parliament that his asking price is already €30m or more.

“Damsgaard ‘is not for sale because I want to reach a valuation of 30 to 50 million euros. He is a pure talent,” he said (via MilanLive).

  1. The fact that we’re even linked to this guy is a big shame. How is he better than Hauge? You should have just left the boy in Norway. This is ridiculous. Silva leaves and becomes a top striker, Paqueta leaves and is now a more than decent midfielder then there’s Locatelli whom I’d say is the best Italian midfielder if Veratti wasn’t playing football anymore. Pioli adjust your strategy and try to fit these guys in. Why are you stubbornly stubborn?
Samp buys this guy for 6 and are demanding 30 or more but Milan buys Hauge for 5 and are happy to get 12. Why get 12 now when you can get 60 in two or three years. If this boy was constantly played or even given half the chance Krunic got then I’m sure he’d have adapted. How do you rescue the baldy by scoring a goal without which we’d probably not be in the UCL then get exiled to the bench. Can’t believe this guy was excluded from EL squad and Krunic and Samu made it. What’s worse is that Mandzu didn’t even get to play when he took one spot. Also what’s this nonsense about Pobega not being a tactical fit? If that’s the case try to make him adapt and teach him what the role entails. He’s still young and can easily learn. I Know Pioli is hoping that rumors linking Samu with an exit dies so that he can continue with their love story. This is a mess.

    1. There’s nothing to add to all you’ve just said.
I don’t understand how out of every club, our own valuation of our players fall short by a large margin everytime.
Keep Hauge and get this lucky baldy out. Hauge, given half the chance as gotten by players with half the talent, will be such a huge hit we’ll wonder how come he once was for sale. I die inside everytime knowing his last game was one where he performed brilliantly. To not be given a chance to play after that, even a minute, while mofo like Casti got the best of space regardless of the fact that he’s an RW pains me. A simple tweak of the normal formation could accommodate him and Pobega but undoubtedly, that baldy didn’t even tweak anything all season last time out. Just field the same player everytime and inshallah. Mtchewwww

    2. there is actually a rumor that Pioli might quit on his wife and marry both Krunic and Samu

*Hauge is not invited to the wedding and Tonali is not allowed in church

    3. This is about like and dislike, and pioli wants to kick Hauge away. I was Milan fans when capello lead this time and maldini was very young full-Back ,but pioli is the worst head coach who bring his personal problems into the team. The reason Amine Adli snubbed Milan interest cos he realized that he’ll get the same threat as Hauge …. pioli SUCKS
