Fabrizio Romano ‘sure’ that a new winger will be one of at least four Milan summer signings

AC Milan are looking to add at least four quality signings in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

There continues to be an abundance of speculation regarding what will happen with the ownership situation of Milan given that there is now talk of Investcorp’s bid being hijacked by RedBird capital.

Fabrizio Romano spoke to CBS Sports about the upcoming mercato for Milan and in particular how the management are currently planning to strengthen the squad currently available to Stefano Pioli, with four positions on the list.

“I am sure that Milan will sign a winger this summer, they are already looking at some of the options, we know that they like Berardi but he is not the only one. They are also exploring the market of other countries to see if they can find the perfect winger,” he said.

“I see them signing a new centre-back, new midfielder, new winger, and a new striker this summer.”

Romano also spoke about the ownership situation as a precursor to the talk of new signings, re-iterating that there are a number of verbal agreements already in place with transfer targets that are currently on stand-by until the new owners come in and make their intentions known.
