CM: Milan convinced they can sign creative Ligue 1 midfielder for reduced price

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s interest in Romain Faivre has not gone away despite their failed move late in the summer window, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo claimed last month that Milan’s management gave the green light for the Faivre deal to go ahead and a private jet was all ready to fly over the Alps and go fetch the 23-year-old.

However, the deal never went through as Brest kept on asking for €15m in a single payment and refused €12m plus €3m in bonuses, which was Milan’s final offer. Then, they were upset about his behaviour as he refused to travel with the squad for a league game, so they pulled him from the market.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Milan have continued to keep the Faivre option alive for January. The Rossoneri management are convinced that they can snatch a discount from Brest compared to their valuation last summer.
