Report: Ligue 1 side open to sale of winger – talks on with Milan over formula with loan

By Oliver Fisher -

Brest have now opened up to the idea of selling winger Romain Faivre and are in talks with AC Milan over the formula of a potential deal, it is claimed.

Faivre was heavily linked with Milan in the summer but Brest pulled out of the deal after becoming annoyed at his attempts to force the move by not showing up to leave with the squad for a game. The rumours have persisted though, and a few days ago he gave a controversial interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport speaking as if a January move was already done.

According to what is being reported by journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Brest have now opened to the sale of Faivre ahead of the reopening of the transfer window January. However, the Ligue 1 side have also made it know that they want to hold back him until the the end of the season.

Talks are ongoing with Milan on the basis of this formula, and we have seen that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are not adverse to this kind of solution given that Yacine Adli was signed in the summer and loaned back to Bordeaux until the end of the season.
