Rafael Leao is expected to leave AC Milan this summer, having publicly declared his desire to do so, but previous suitors Bayern Munich won’t join the race.
At the end of last week, Leao casually announced his willingness to leave Milan, having spent seven years at the club. It wasn’t exactly a surprising decision, but the manner in which he announced it certainly was a bit surprising.

In any case, with a departure on the cards, some clubs have been mentioned and it seems Leao’s dream is to play in the Premier League. Last summer, Bayern Munich also appeared to be in the running but now, not so much.
Not the right type
Speaking about Leao on his podcast Bayern Insider, Christian Falk made it clear that the German side won’t be making a move for the No.10 this summer. While there was interest a year ago, they removed him from the wish list after a meeting.
“The interesting thing is that there were talks last summer with him. Max Eberl had talks with him during the Nations League, but in the end, the club decided that he wouldn’t be a good fit for the dressing room.
“They said that he’s not a Bayern-like player. Milan want €50m and that’s okay for Bayern, but as I told you, there are better backup candidates than Leao,” he stated.

People always try and allow bad professionals to stay at this club if they can give them a 9 out of 10 game every now and then. Leao should have gone the year after he showed that he was not consistently giving a 7 out of 10 performance.
He should have gone last summer, when he had a good market, and the club hired a troglodyte 5-3-2 coach, and then given that troglodyte coach the players he wanted so that he could play his catenaccio. Instead there were half measures all around, and now we have the situation we have.
There’s a huge difference between what a lot of our fans think about some of Milan players over the last 5 years and what the football world thinks about them.

Leao had the potential to be one of the best in the world if it wasn’t for his work rate and his moodiness. He would only do well in a league like the Saudi League. PL and La Liga teams should be concerned about his attitude and work rate.

They have gnabry, Diaz, Kane, Olise, Musiala, Karl, and ndiaye as offensive options, why would they waste 50mil on leao when they already have crazy depth and could also easily sign the likes of Ngumoha from Liverpool who has a much higher ceiling at this point?
Exactly like I said many times. Big and serios clubs never ever comes to Leao. Because they make a very extended analysis about a player before they bid for him. Personality, profesionalism are very important characteristics .
We should do this in the future , make decisions of transfer of a certain player before a very deeply analysis of all aspects of that player.

Leão seems to think Arteta is stupid. In my opinion, Leão can be a negative influence on a team. A player who appears that lazy on the pitch likely doesn’t show much more commitment in training either. I can’t see many top clubs being interested in him. Perhaps some Premier League teams fighting relegation, or those just above that level, might take a chance. If he leaves Milan this season, I believe his career could take a significant downturn.
