AC Milan are expected to open discussions with Manchester United over signing Rasmus Hojlund, according to a report.
One target is set to vanish for Milan, as Fabrizio Romano confirms that Darwin Nunez is expected to join Al-Hilal. The agreement between the clubs is now ‘100% done’, he adds.

The initial fee will be €53m plus sizeable add-ons easy to reach to bring total package higher. Talks with the Uruguayan are ongoing to get the green light on personal terms.
Meanwhile, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Manchester United are close to reaching an agreement to acquire Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
The German club have accepted Newcastle’s offer of €82.5m + €2.5m in bonuses, but the Slovenian wants the Red Devils. The two clubs haven’t reached an agreement yet, but negotiations are nearing completion.

Why does this matter? MilanNews are reporting that if United were to actually sign Sesko, then the situation surrounding Rasmus Hojlund would need to be clarified as he would be bumped down the pecking order.
Milan are genuinely interested in the Dane and will determine in the coming days whether they can sign him on loan with an option to buy. The alternative to consider is Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic.
Hojlund is not a stranger to Serie A, having shone for Atalanta which convinced United to spend around €83m on him. With the English side, he has 26 goals in 95 games.

I think he can do well here. Loan with option can’t hurt us. If it works, we can get him with the CL money. If it doesn’t work out, well… no harm done to the budget.

Then you are fit for a role in the management team. Hojlund is more than a fine option for our attack.
I would prefer him to vlahovic. D guy is good if given opportunities n besides he is not new to serie A. We all know how hard it is to adapt to premier league from serie A.
Way better option than Vlahovic, who still can arrive free next season because there is zero hope for Juventus to sell him

Højlund is IMO the perfect solution.
The budget on a striker won’t be sizable especially since they spent 35mil on Santi. Gievn the restrictions, you won’t be able to buy quality. So you’re looking at loans again, like Tammy…
That won’t solve anything. Given these limitations, the most sensible move unfortunately is Valhovic. I’d focus on him because there are several favorable factors.
He knows the league, and he’s capable of scoring in this league. He knows and works well with Allegri. Since Max plans on counter attacking though the wingers, Vlahovic hopefully won’t have to play with his back to goal much (because he’s awful at it) and would need to run into the bow to receive service from wingers/midfield.
And lastly, but more importantly, Juve are DESPERATE to offload him, so Milan holds all the cards and can get him at favorable numbers. 15-20mil for Vlahovic is a good price, especially if Max banks on his strengths and mirigates for his weaknesses to bring out the Fiorentina version out of him. Just like he’s doing with Leao.

I hear you, ACM1899, but many of those arguments also goes for Hojlund. But in addition he is cheap compared to Vlahovic. I doubt we have the funds for Vlahovic.
Vlahovic is the better player of the two, but Hojlund is cheapper, younger and holds so much more potential. He is the poor mans Haaland and would be a wise investment for the future.
