Ralf Rangnick may be heading to AC Milan this summer and a report has looked at what he does in the job.
It appears Milan are getting closer to Rangnick, even if there have been battles about his appointment. A meeting today could be decisive for the future and the German could head to Casa Milan in the near future, depending on what has been said.

Family approach
With it appearing that a relationship is getting closer, Gazzetta dello Sport have looked at how Rangnick transitions.
With Austria, where the team were in a bit of a disarray, he looked to change the perspective instantly. At Christmas, he sent his players a long message, personal to them, to bring about a family feeling, one of trust and closeness.
It is not the only thing, he also gave them key rings with their fingerprints and initials in November last year, to remind them of each other during the months when they were not with each other on international duty before the World Cup.
In terms of the staff, he previously saw players were being treated by their own physiotherapists, he put an end to that. It is a simple mentality, ‘something is right, you do it, even if it involves sacrifices or is counterintuitive’.
Then, there is the connection to the fans. With Austria, his team played games away from Vienna after requests from the fans to be closer to the team. This, although in different circumstances, will be the same.
He wants to hear the fans, players, staff, together. Reinforcing that family belief.
Recruitment and tactics
His team would be much more aggressive, and he even installed a giant clock at Hoffenheim with an eight-second timer that made his players anxious. Why? Well, they had to recover the ball within eight seconds and he wanted them to understand the pressure to get the ball back quickly.
With the Diavolo, he would demand a higher, more aggressive line of pressure. It would be essentially the opposite of Massimiliano Allegri.
In terms of recruitment, Gazzetta keeps it simple: ‘the new AC Milan would be born with similar principles: young reinforcements, even underage, athletic and talented’. This is exactly why he is requesting a full overhaul of the scouting team. He knows what he wants and the people must be there to deliver.

Let’s be honest, the culture at Milan has been crap since the scudetto run. And especially after Maldini was fired and Giroud left there is a severe lack of leadership.
The team seems lazy, disjointed, not mentally or emotionally strong and once they went bad they couldn’t turn it around easily.
It needs to be ripped down to the studs and built back. Can Rangnick do that? Maybe, maybe not. But at least he has a clear vision and system.
True. From who we got rumored for these positions the best solution is Ragnick bring his people and sign Glasner as coach .
I mean Rangnick will bring people and the management positions will be covered so the rebuild can start.
They can put some have tos on the contract if they wanna have the chance to change again. If they don’t want him to have all this power to have an exit
Exactly. Vision is something we are missing for a while now. I feel that he’ll come, and I really hope that he will be given time to rebuild and make everything work properly.
Ok
I don’t think this is a good idea. This guy is small club mentality all the way. We will become like Atalanta. He was a disaster at Man United.
Hes the Godfather of Gegenpressing.
He’s more capable than anyone we got rumored also he’s not the coach . The best coach we got linked is Glasner.
You better be excited at least more excited than getting Poch as coach and Planes or Kirovski as Sporting Director.
Exactly
The Man United situation is not really remotely comparable.
He was the coach, not the Technical Director and only then took over mid-season in like December. Never had any input around a transfer market, scouting, youth set up, etc etc. Strictly a short term appointment.
At Milan he won’t be the coach. The two situations aren’t similar.
Do you even know who this man is?
Yes. Like I said, all small clubs. There’s endless cases of people who can do well at smaller clubs with a bunch of very young players who are all trying to prove themselves and run like crazy and do exactly what they are told, like robots. There is a ceiling to that kind of strategy. Then when they get to a big club with higher expectations and more established players, it doesn’t always translate that well. This guy does not like any players over 30 either. He never would have brought in Ibra or Giroud which were huge parts of why we won our last scudetto.
How many players are 30 or over at PSG?
They run like crazy even though they have the Ballon Dor winner on the team.
If the ceiling is back to back UCLs, sign me up.
Fallacious argument. PSG doesn’t buy cheap unknown dudes in minor leagues, they spend heftily on the best young prospects that all other top clubs are trying to buy as well.
Mk is right, that’s another moneyball dude. Jerry might change the directors, the front staff, the coach every year but it’s still the same vision: keep the budget clean, buy low, sell high, etc. Every fcking summer it’s the same promise of revolution and every fcking season it’s the same disappointment. Jerry won’t change his mind, it’s stadium and NBA, the rest is background noise.
@Bartholomeo
You should try reading what is said before youn respond.
“Then when they get to a big club with higher expectations and more established players, it doesn’t always translate that well.”
This is what the man you claim was right said. Now read what I said.
Poch swapped 2x more than Rangnick does.
Wtf is this article?
Let’s get the ball rolling..
At least with ragnick there will be a long term plan in place, if what the papers are writing is accurate. May be a bad plan or a good plan. But still better than just buy at random blindly and without a plan and a vision. At least with ragnick there is a vision. I dont know if it will work out but football clueless gerry and mercenary ibra wouldn’t know how to build a team if their lives depended on it. I have my doubts on ragnick( no big teams ever went after him, except man u which was going through a “redbird” period. Still better than getting a sore eye wayching milan play after M&M left. There are better choices out there but under redbird we will never get them. So ragnick may be our guy.
