Diego Moreira was voted the MOTM in our fan player ratings, by some margin we should add, while the opposite was the case for Pervis Estupinan.
After the questionable performance against Juventus, Moreira couldn’t have provided a better response than what he did against Lazio. Coming off the bench for the start of the second half, he needed just 20 minutes to find the back of the net twice.

While it didn’t lead to a total comeback for Milan, it was important to at least get a draw from the game. It means they are on eight points after four games, with a couple of ‘easier’ encounters coming up next in the league.
Milan-Venezia: Fan player ratings
Taking a look at the fan player ratings, i.e. the votes from you using our tool, there is no doubt about who was the best player on the pitch: Diego Moreira. He ended up at 8.6/10 after 234 votes, which is a very high rating, and the second-best player didn’t come close (Yunus Musah at 7.1).
As for the worst, we might have seen the lowest score of the season already: Pervis Estupinan at a mere 1.9/10 from 236 votes. That’s truly horrendous, but equally understandable after the big mistakes he made at the far post.
Below, you can see the fan rating for each of the players who featured in yesterday’s game.

He reminds us of Diego Laxalt from his appearance and he’s also playing on the left side..
True.
I kept calling him Laxalt yesterday, till my wife corrected me
Pulisic 7.0?! WTF, man.
What should it be?
An assist.
All action and a diff maker.
Only played one half?
Seems well spotted.
At least 7.5, he was all over the place, those were his first minutes this season, take that into consideration.
I don’t question Ruben’s style of play – very progressive which is good. What I question is his selection of players and where they are played.
First, our transfer market was average to above average to be fair – Gila, Ramos and hopefully Moriera turn out well – Gila is proven in the league so that is a given and early results are positive as expected. Ramos and Moreira need time to acclimate to Serie A – hope they do as they weren’t worth what we paid for them now (70 + 15 =85 Ramos; 50M for Moriera) but hopefully they will in future – although for Ramos to justify that price tag he needs to get 25-30 goals per season. The rest of the market was blah.
What was more confusing than the purchases (aside from the 3 mentioned) were the players Almiron wanted to keep – RLC Estuphian Musah etc….versus those that left. What is also troubling and hope it’s only a short ohase – was playing players out of position – ie,. Rabiot as an RW or CAM – or do to decision to start RLC. Our backups are pretty weak as well and midfield thin. One injury to Ramos Rabiot or Modric and we are in trouble. Modric playing every 3 days this year will take its toll should save him for big games and play once a week to preserve his legs. Hope he settles down and figures out the right formations. But I don’t see us finishing top of table when your starting wing backs are Chukuweze and Estuphian – both who don’t defend; and a mid field that may be forced to start Musah for a lot of games and an attach that is relying on RLC. 4th if we are lucky – because Juve has been hit with an injury crisis – 5th place most likely after: Inter Como Roma Napoli and Juve/Milan….
Can’t say I expected to ever say this, but Musah looks in good form and actually played smart. For sure he had a better game than Modric, which makes me hesitant to even write in a fiction story…
Still I agree with you. System looks ok, but his starting squad choice so far is questionable.
Anyone questioning the keeping of Musah right now… I question if they’re even watching the games. He’s a crucial part of the team and, because we shipped Fofana and Ricci out, is basically irreplaceable for us at the moment.
1. Keeping Musah is the right call, to say the least. Do you even watch Milan recent games?
2. Rabiot was never deployed as RW.
3. Modric won’t play every 3 days. Amorim even took him out on start of the 2nd half. Do we ever witness that last season?
4. Napoli is not in any way better than us.
I think Amorim was 2-2-1 on his reclamation projects. Chuk and Musah were successes, Jashari is unknown, and RLC and Estupian were failures. I am ok, as long as he gets it now. It should be abundantly clear who his A team is, and who his trusted bench players are.
That’s 2-1-2 then.
RLC and Estupinan should be sold in January. Our right sight should be more balanced with Saladmaker and Puli, with Chuk as a joker. Our left seems OK with Moreira and Cisse plus Barte. Plus we have wild card Hutchinson to support Ramos/Camarda. Rabiot should be the starter in midfield. Now, we have 3 partners / subs for him: legend Modric, question mark Jashari and the headless chicken engine Musah. I really don’t trust Musah, it’s a mistake waiting to happen. A proper DM/CM should be our priority for January, with good passing, positioning and vision. I wish Tonali wouldn’t be sold… Another CB would also mean we are there for top-4 spot and better squad players would lift us to CL top 8. As of now, 4th place seems a battle for Napoli, Juve and AC Milan. Roma and Inter are pretty damn good and Como is a pleasant surprise, an example to follow! EL: just hope for the best. It should serve as an opportunity for the young ones
