Mohamed Elneny, currently on loan at Besiktas from Arsenal, could be making a move in January. Based on his father’s words, his next destination could be AC Milan, who are looking for a midfielder to strengthen the squad.
Awaiting the reply of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Rossoneri are about to secure another signing. Not for the attack, not for the defence, but rather the midfield. As has become evident, it’s a department that needs experienced players.
Interviewed by Sada Al Balad TV (via Goal.com), Nasser Elneny highlighted how Milan have renewed their interest in his son, having previously shown their interest without going any further. Now, an agreement is seemingly close.
“The negotiations between Mohamed and Milan are at an advanced stage, but the contract has not been signed yet.
“They renewed interest in my son and the next few hours could be decisive to sign with Milan.
“Besiktas? He did well with them, but he wants to move to a stronger league, at Milan,” he concluded.
It remains to be seen if Milan will sign the midfielder, and above all, if he would be an upgrade to the current midfielders at Stefano Pioli’s disposal. In any case, the Rossoneri are ready to make bring in some new players.
