AC Milan are up against Feyenoord in the Champions League play-off tie, first leg out of two, and the goal is to get a good result back from Rotterdam. Join us for the watchalong with Stefano or follow the action with our live commentary. 

Sergio Conceicao has made four changes to the starting XI for tonight’s game, including fielding Santiago Gimenez up front, and he will be hoping for results. It can only be described as an attacking-minded eleven, so hopefully the balance will be right.

After a few games without a watchalong, Stefano is back tonight and you can join him on the YouTube channel as always (see below). We also have the usual live commentary on X if you prefer to follow the action over text. Either way, hopefully we will have a win to celebrate when it’s all said and done.

  1. Something quite incredible has just happened in the Club Brugges – Atalanta game. The ref granted to Brugges an extremely ridiculous PK at 92 minutes and Atalanta lost 2-1, which hurts the very important UEFA Coefficient that we rely on to get a 5th UCL spot, which directly impacts AC Milan.

    It’s quite incredible that a professional ref thought that that was a PK. The TV commentators all went “oh nooooo!!!!!”

    Refereeing is becoming incredibly incompetent throughout Europe.

    He forgot to mention that it’s the opponents’ level we’re raising.

  12. Joao Felix sees a lot of the ball but doesn’t do much with it. So far can see why he’s seen as a luxury item rather than a player to rely on at his previous clubs.

    The recent articles claiming we are already looking at a permanent deal seem a bit premature. These are the sort of games you need to be decisive. The “Fantastic Four” are so far nowhere near Fantastic.

    Hoping Conceicao has a way to conjure up something at half time. We look bang average against a Feyenoord side that are nothing special in their own Eredivisie

Leo does not have business playing this game or been in this team jeminez shouldn’t have started sometimes the coach selection need to be questioned and again milan first half since this coach came in sucks and sure we will win this game but nothing positive coming in this first half for sure

  14. So… all of you Leao lovers. Tell me, what did our “best player that we cant sell because we will not find goid replacement” do in first half? Other then fall in a box to try get a non existing penaly? Against side like Feyenord? But still some people will say that we will be worst without him. Let me remind you- this is not 2021.

  18. Another 1st half horror show. Leao is horrible. Mike with a howler. Theos pink hair isn’t helping him. Santi is invisible. I don’t like how far Pulisic is playing away from the goal. Walker having a hard time. Need another 2nd half salvage job.

  19. As a Leao’s hater i just cant wait to see him gone in the summer ( hopefully ) so i dont have to see his ugly smug face anymore, he will never be a world class only his deluded fans thought he was.

  20. Felix had our best attempt, saved by the goalkeeper very close to the post. That was pretty much our only good finishing. Other than for that, he moved a lot but didn’t accomplish much.

    Mike Maignan clueless, huge howler and was totally beaten when saved by the crossbar. Rafa has been dreadful. Gimenez missing in action; same for Reijnders. Pavlovic had some decent actions, and so did Fofana; they may be the only two getting a passing grade, so far (nothing spectacular but trying and mostly doing their jobs). Not even Walker is doing well today, getting eaten alive by Igor Paixão. Rafa should try to score instead of trying to earn a PK. He could have scored twice but failed miserably.

    It seems like we’re having another Zagreb evening. Not even Puli is solving this thing.

    Let’s hope Mister Conceição adjusts things around for the second half because if this continues, we’ll lose.

    We again had a terrible first half, which has been the rule under Conceição. Generally we often (not always) do better in second half so I still have hope.

      1. Right, that wasn’t a good finishing, if you shoot it right at the goalkeeper. The only attempt we had that was done right and not a score for the goalkeeper’s merit rather than from our player’s shortcoming, was Felix’s attempt.

        And this is the team that lost 6-1 last Champions League game, and their only score was Gimenez’s who now plays for us. They are in crisis, missing a bunch of people, just had their head coach fired, and we still can’t beat them. That’s terrible.

        If we don’t come from behind to win this game, we don’t really deserve to be playing in the Champions League.

  22. At one point in the summer I wanted Mike Maignan sold and Di Gregorio bought. We missed the boat on that one. Mike has been very irregular; some good games with important saves, as well as some dreadful ones conceding soft goals. Di Gregorio on the other hand has been very consistent.

    We already have very inconsistent outfield players; when your goalkeeper is inconsistent too, it gets really tough.

  23. i hope they stop being overly obsessed with going left to rafa-theo. feyenord left side got no worries being attacked at all, it makes their job easier….milan never did a good job switching from side to side in a balanced way.

    1. Who should we bring in instead? The squad is very short-staffed at this point.

      Sometimes Rafa plays terribly (like tonight) but then suddenly assists or scores.

  25. What the hell is this. Totally nothing, no pressure, no creativity, no eagerness, taking too long to shoot. I feel ashamed by this milan

  30. We’re playing worse than in Zagreb.

    Mike with a howler. Rafa having his worst game of the season. Not even Puli played well. Gimenez seems like he doesn’t want to play against his former team and is nowhere to be seen. And we don’t have good substitution options.

    I don’t see what can be done at this point. It may be OK if we only lose by 1-0 and hope to recover at San Siro next week.

  35. As for the new signings, João Felix playing a good game, Santi Gimenez, on the other hand, seemed perhaps a little intimidated to be playing against his former club so soon after being sold.

    1. Jeez, people call themselves milan fans, but are more hater then some of inter fans. Always against Leao, even though he is not the only one who plays. Stop accusing always one player. If the team loses then its because the team wasn’t playing well all together, but not because only Leao played bad. Only because he wasn’t that good this game doesn’t mean he is a wasteful human? Wtf is that even supposed to mean?
      Calling himself SempreMilan and calling out players as wasteful human…You should start getting some hobby…
      When he scores and almost everyone knows he can and do, then you are silent. But when he does not score one game, you want him out. Fake fan!

    And I wouldn’t have carmada in anyway. too inexperienced because not enough playing time.
    Better to give playing time in Serie A.

  41. Difficult pitch conditions but I’m putting the L on Mike. Very poor save attempt and he completely miss judged the shot off the crossbar. Rest of the team was stagnant couldn’t cope with the pitch and the energy from Feyenoord. Theo out there playing like Emerson, Fofana was pathetic on the ball. The attack over dribbling and still unable to make the right pass/right run poor on ball performance. Defensively was ok but poor goal keeping turn a draw into a L

  42. They should sent to Milan management.

    Ucl games must play most experienced players. So tomori instead of Thiaw.

    Maybe that would not change result, but Gimenez just arrived and Abraham has some decent games.

    Small errors like for example Mike Maignan or Gabbia against Dinamo. They can’t do those in UCL games.

    Milan if can’t win Feyenoord 2 or 3 goals should go home and forget about Europe. Not this season but couple of more next untill they learn how to play.

  43. Our coach didn’t start this game with players will Give us what we needed. Staring Thiaw isn’t a good idea , same with Jeminez , also when he isn’t in the game. Removing Leo is also not a good substitution
