Forbes: Figures show commercial success of Milan’s fourth shirt worn against Atalanta

By Euan Burns -

The sales figures and more specifically the geography behind them exhibit the commercial success of the fourth shirt that AC Milan recently released, a report claims.

As was highlighted to Forbes by Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer Casper Stylsvig (via Milan News), 60% of the sales of those shirts that the team wore against Atalanta earlier in 2023 were to people outside of Italy.

One of Stylsvig’s main jobs is to boost the stature and marketability of the club all over the world as it can boost revenues for the club.

The shirt was released in partnership with Puma and Koche and featured a pixelated design. 20% of the shirt sales were to people in the United States of America, which will feel like vindication for Stylsvig.

Milan were ranked by Forbes in 2022 as the fourteenth most valuable club in the world. The shirt was worn when Milan beat Atalanta 2-0, which was one of their best performances of the calendar year.
