FT: Fiorentina 1-1 Milan

Another draw, the unbeaten run is kept alive, but man does that sting. Milan should have taken the lead in the first half and the goal they conceded was very avoidable. One point doesn’t do much here, whatever Allegri tries to say, a win was needed.

97'

HUGE SAVE MAIGNAN ON KEAN!

97'

Brescianini hits the bar for Fiorentina!

94'
Yellow card for Fofana

Late challenge there as he tried to win back the ball. Good chance for Fiorentina now.

90'

Seven minutes added on.

90'
GOAL! NKUNKU WHAT A STRIKE! (Assist: Fofana)

Wow! The Frenchman is played in behind by his compatriot Fofana and he finds the back of the net with a fantastic shot, going off the post and in.

Fiorentina 1-1 Milan

Goal Nkunku 2025-26
84'
Yellow card for Rabiot

Clear foul on Dodo there and he know it himself.

82'

Bartesaghi absolutely skies his effort. Such a shame.

80'

Saelemaekers wins a free-kick right on the edge of the box, almost a penalty for Milan there.

76'

Leao seemingly the left wing-back, but it’s leaving Milan super exposed on the counters.

74'

Clearly, Allegri changed his mind and decided to bring on Nkunku instead of Athekame.

74'
Final sub for Milan...

On: Nkunku.

Off: Pavlovic.

70'

Pavlovic is up and walking, but he won’t continue this game by the looks of it. Athekame getting ready on the sidelines.

68'

Pavlovic is down after a challenge in the box, clashing heads with Comuzzo. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious, but it didn’t look great when it happened.

66'
Goal for Fiorentina

Comuzzo gives Fiorentina the lead with a very light flick on a corner. He was left pretty much unmarked there, looked like it was Bartesaghi’s man.

Fiorentina 1-0 Milan

63'
Another sub for Milan...

On: Fofana.

Off: Loftus-Cheek.

60'
First subs for Milan...

On: Bartesaghi, Rabiot, Leao.

Off: Estupinan, Jashari, Fullkrug.

59'

Fiorentina have started well in the second half. Milan with a couple of chances to counter, but none of them taken.

53'
Yellow card for Estupinan

Clear as day! He took a hold of Kean’s shirt there and know what was coming.

46'
Game is back on!

The second half is underway at Artemio Franchi. Milan will need some more composure in front of goal to find the back of the net, that’s for sure. No changes by Allegri so far.

Frustrating one so far...
HT: Fiorentina 0-0 Milan

The first half ends 0-0, but Milan really should have been ahead. Pulisic missed two sitters after fantastic combinations with Fullkrug, while Fiorentina only really had a few half-chances. In short, the Rossoneri should be very frustrated with that one.

45'

Four minutes added on.

39'

Ricci tries his luck on the edge of the box but skies it. Nice move by Milan overall, though, and especially by Jashari who started it all with a run and pass for Estupinan.

    1. While I agree, Ricci is having a good game. I’d go so far as to say there is some of Modric’s influence in the way he now makes himself available.

  1. If the first 20 min are anything to go by, Fullkrug and Pulisic are going to be one helluva problem for the opposition.

    1. Dude is one of the best shot stoppers to ever play the game. I think it is just because we happen to be paying attention when he is playing us.

    1. Hopefully we will see Rabiot and Bartesaghi entering the second half.
Either way we have had enough chances to score 3-4 goals and probably should have bagged at least 2 of them.

  2. Why do we always have trouble playing against small teams? We should keep attacking them and take the lead first so we don’t have trouble in the final minutes.

    1. its not that were having trouble here, its the fact de gea is one of the best keepers in the world-pulisics 3rd strike that went acrooss de gea nearly scored are the types of shots we can beat him with otherwise the guys too good

  3. I think these liveblogs are a wasted effort, SM folks. Football Italia is doing a better job and is covering the game more in depth with more frequent updates. One thing that would make this work is if you opened up the comments directly into the liveblog as opposed to below so we could comment real time. But outside of that, I’m not sure what you’re getting from this.

  4. What a mediocre of team, I pray you get relegated, fiorentina that can’t even win lecce is winning you… You are a disgrace to Italian football..

  5. Those Pulisic chances in the first half look massive now. What a shame, such great creativity in those movements with nothing to show for it. They’ll struggle for a draw here and that’ll be considered a loss. The midfield changes failed but it really didn’t look much different to the few matches prior.

    1. 100%. That’s because this is a counterattacking team built on speed and space to run into. We struggle against a low block. No space? No Party.

  6. Chris Wittyngham is the worst commentator ever. There is 20mins left and he has already said that Fiorentina will get the three points twice

      1. Even if Pulisic scored those two opportunities in the 1st half. The overall team spirit is off. The way they approach the game is totally wrong.

    1. Pulisic was creating opportunities, just not converting them. Could have been up 3-0 at first half. Ricci doesn’t affect games the same way Modric does clearly and Jashari is just a huge question mark.

  7. Same problems, different opponent.
Too slow in the build up, too asleep throughout the game. Not enough creativity outside of Puli/Saelemaekers and No urgency.
I don’t know what kind of mentality these guys are entering the pitch with…

  8. Bartesaghi at fault for the Fiorentina goal. Commuzo was his mark and he completely lost him and allowed him to head in.

Pulisic was god awful this match. His first touch let him down so many times, and THREE 1v1s against De Gea resulting in NOTHING. CRIMINAL.

Nkunku proving not to be a flop? Who knew you just needed time to get used to a new team and a new league.

Max needs to start games against lower opposition with the 433. We’ve scored our last 2 goals playing 433.

    1. Match solidifies that Nkunku and Leao are the starters, and that Pulisic, despite his previous goals, should only be used as a sub or transferred. I mean, we have so many chances from the other 10 players in the first 70 minutes.

    2. Take another look. Bartesaghi was marking another player and shifted to play the ball. Gabbia was marking Commuzzo. He was standing right in front of him and got out jumped.

  9. After watching alegri ball again. I just realised. Defender and midfielder wont pass forward until theyre behind. There are some obvious straight passing into the heart of defense but they prefer to play it safe backward. They only fighting for balls when fhey are also behind. Grinta is lost as pavlo injured.
