Fiorentina are considering making a move for AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer this summer, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Nazione (via Milan News), La Viola are starting to prepare for the eventuality of Nikola Milenkovic leaving the club in the very near future.
He is heavily linked with Inter who want to sign him and Gleison Bremer once they have finalised the sale of Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint Germain.
One of the names that they are looking at is the Rossoneri’s Danish centre-back Simon Kjaer. One major obstacle to the move would be his wages as well as Milan’s willingness to entertain the idea of a move.
It is an area of the pitch that Milan are lacking depth in so it would be counterproductive to sell a player of his quality this summer unless the bid was very attractive.
He missed a large chunk of last season with a serious knee injury.

As a dane i want him to play as much as possible as he is instrumental for our international defense and i actually believe with a bit of luck we might actually be able to go deep into the world cup but on the other hand as a milanista i doesnt really think his contribution up untill his injury could be described as anything less than impeccable. Hopefully both things can happen while he keeps playing in red and black.
Well to be honest our defense is better without him. He is a good player but what I wrote is a fact.
Its certainly a valid argument crorossonero in the sense that we had a great run with almost no goals scored against us for a long time. When that is said kjæer still has far more experience than kalulu so i do believe they should be able to still coexist within the squad and get enough minutes between them. In the end though it certainly would make more sense to bet our money on kalulu than an ageing player.
Every good defense needs good backup/rotation players. Everybody knows that. Well… Almost everyone.

Milan currently only have 4 CB on their disposal; Tomori, Kalulu, Gabbia, and Kjaer and they need all of them for serie a, champions, and coppa.
and Kalulu is a RD that plays CB because no other alternatives.
Theo-Tomori-Kjaer-Kalulu are the main defenders next season for me as Calabria needs to improve.
Calabria only plays bad after he recovered from long injury. Outside that, he’s still a solid RB.
And last season Kalulu only scored 1 goal and 1 assists while Calabria scored 2 goals and 3 assist.
Calabria definitely still the first choice for RB with Florenzi as his backup while Kalulu will be a backup for Kjaer/Tomori.

Kjaer is not going anywhere. We need depth and experience at CB. Tomori is #1, Kalulu might go back to RB since he’s better than Calabria. Romagnoli is leaving. Gabbia is crap so he might be sold, and it looks like we are not signing another CB except maybe Acerbi who’s barely good enough for backup.
Kjær is needed. We need him on and off the pitch and now Romagnoli is gone, Kjær is needed even more.
