GdS: Probable XIs for Fiorentina vs. Milan – how Leao and Brahim Diaz will be replaced

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will make some changes in attack for tonight’s game against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Pioli should name an unchanged defence from the Atalanta game with Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori ahead of Mike Maignan.

Junior Messias is expected to be the right wing-back and Theo Hernandez on the opposite flank, with Ismael Bennacer returning from injury to partner Sandro Tonali in the midfield double pivot.

Brahim Diaz’s injury and Rafael Leao’s suspension force changes in attack, with Charles De Ketelaere and Ante Rebic expected to take their places and Olivier Giroud tipped to start as the centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (3-4-2-1): Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Messias, Tonali, Bennacer, Hernandez; De Ketelaere, Rebic; Giroud.

Probable Fiorentina XI (4-3-3): Terracciano; Dodo, Martinez Quarta, Igor, Biraghi; Bonaventura, Amrabat, Mandragora; Gonzalez, Cabral, Saponara.

  1. Viola is a team that concedes consistently this season. So here’s hoping that CDK can finally get his much needed goal to kick start his season and won’t look back.

On paper, the formation should be good to him, he’ll be the focal point, and accompanied by workhorses like Rebic who will press all day, Please don’t squander this golden opportunity!
