Fiorentina star cryptic about future amid Milan, Liverpool and Man Utd links: “We’ll see what happens”

By Oliver Fisher -

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic refused to give too much away regarding his future, failing to rule out the possibility of leaving this summer.

Vlahovic has had a superb breakthrough season in Serie A scoring 21 goals so far, with 17 coming in the year 2021. This has naturally led speculation that he could make the leap to a big club in the not too distant future and rumours of a price tag anywhere between €50m and €80m.

Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) are among the sources who have reported that Vlahovic is Milan’s first target for the attack. The Serbian has exploded this season and therefore it will not be easy for anyone to buy him. Rocco Commisso – the president of Fiorentina – does not want to sell the young talent for obvious reasons, especially as he is looking for a new head coach.

Vlahovic spoke to the Serbian outlet Meridian Sport regarding the amazing season that he has had and what the future may hold with so many big clubs linked to him.

“I’ll be honest: I’m sorry it’s over now. But I don’t think anyone expected what I did. I’m only sorry that we fought for survival for so long, that we couldn’t reach a higher position. I’m sorry my goals didn’t help for higher goals,” he said (via MilanNews).

“Mihajlovic? He’s a great legend of Serbian and Italian football. It’s difficult to reject Miha, but at the moment I’m only thinking about Fiorentina. We’ll see what happens in the future. Change league? You never know. Maybe tomorrow it will happen, or maybe I’ll stay my entire career in Serie A.”

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Roma, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City al want Vlahovic.
