AC Milan take on Genoa tonight in what is their final game before an international break that could be very welcome from a fitness perspective.
Milan are in a good run of form in Serie A and will want to go into the international break with a win, but having played in midweek away at Borussia Dortmund, Genoa may be looking to exploit any tiredness.
With Luka Jovic set to get his first start since joining Milan, he will be trying to get the better of Mattia Bani at the centre of Genoa’s defence.
Similarly, Noah Okafor will be looking to continue his scoring form in Serie A but Radu Dragusin will be doing all he can to stop the Swiss from being effective down the Milan left.
There are two key battles in midfield on either side of Yacine Adli. Tijjani Reijnders and Morten Thorsby will be facing up, whilst Yunus Musah could be busy trying to keep former Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi quiet.
Finally, Junior Messias looks set to start in the attack for Genoa against his old team and Fikayo Tomori could be tasked with keeping the Brazilian under control.
This feels like it could be a very fun game. I like what Genoa has done with the team.
