Florenzi feels Milan’s luck is out: “Last year we’d have won this type of game” – video

Alessandro Florenzi was far from happy with the result against Salernitana last night, admitting that it feels like Milan’s luck is out at the moment.

It was a positive night on a personal note for Florenzi in the sense that he made his long-awaited return to action after an injury that had kept him out for months, but the team dropped crucial points in a 1-1 draw against a team in 16th.

The defender gave an interview to Milan TV at the end of the drawn match against Salernitana.

“The last months have been difficult as I already said. It wasn’t easy being sidelined and I am so happy to finally be back. But I am gutted that we failed to win this game,” he began.

“We have to knuckle down and get back to work now, and we’ll have to use this as fuel to improve. We created a lot but lacked that final punch, we failed to convert the so-called half chances.

“Last year we’d have won this type of game, this season… it’s like that. We have to accept it and be confident that things will soon turn in our favour again. Next time we may bury a 50-50 chance.”
