Alessandro Florenzi was announced by AC Milan earlier today and he seems very eager to start his adventure with the Rossoneri. He has already started training with the squad, wanting to crack on asap.
In an interview with MilanTV (see video below), the versatile Italian spoke about the decision to join Milan. He revealed that the Rossoneri wanted him the most and this pushed him to say yes.
“The biggest factor in coming here was Milan’s desire to have me. The club pushed really hard to have me, more than anyone abroad. This is a challenge I’m determined and eager to begin, I can’t wait to take the field and help my teammates.
“I’ve known Massara for a long time, his determination was certainly an added value. The same goes for Maldini who also was eager to sign me. Everyone at the club was determined to sign me.
“My experience at the Euros was something I’ll never forget, so many teammates I hold dear and will be bound to for the rest of my life. Having said that, the Euros are finished and I’m a person that looks to the future with optimism.
“I feel that I’m now a man with experience even though I’m only 30. I have taken part in many important things and it’s that experience I want to bring to Milan. There’s Kjaer, Ibra, Giroud and now there’s me.
“I will honour the jersey, both on and off the pitch. I will give my blood, sweat and tears for this jersey, the fans can be sure of that,” he concluded.
