MN: Fofana fears averted – Milan relieved as Frenchman partakes in group training

At the weekend, there were fears that Youssouf Fofana could be sidelined with an injury. However, it appears that he is fine.

Fofana is no stranger to playing in a heavy schedule. For the past two seasons, he has been a mainstay for three coaches. So, the thought of Massimiliano Allegri having to do without the Frenchman was perhaps a bit of a worry.

After the game in Verona, he assured the media that he had only cramped up. However, he was still expected to have tests to double-check that all was as it should have been.

Thankfully, it seems that all the checks have been passed, with MilanNews reporting that he has reported for training today and taken part in the session with the rest of the group. It appears his initial reassurance was all that was needed!

Imaginably, he will not be taken out of the starting XI for the big game against Juventus, where Allegri is likely to rely on his starters. If he had returned later in the week, there may have been a bigger question, but there is no need to even consider alternatives.

With rumours surrounding his future recently, he will hope to have a big say in a big game for the Rossoneri.
