Youssouf Fofana joked about the celebration that he chose after a scoring a goal that helped earn him the Man of the Match award.
Strahinja Pavlovic broke the deadlock with a goal of the season candidate in the first half, but the teams went in level at the break after Simeone levelled for Torino. Then, Milan took command thanks to goals in quick succession from Adrien Rabiot and Fofana.
Vlasic would score from the spot inside the final 10 minutes to make it more of a nervy finish, but the Rossoneri held on for an important 3-2 win that sees them move back second in the table and nine points clear of fifth.
After the full-time whistle, Fofana spoke to DAZN to offer his thoughts on what was an entertaining game at San Siro but one that Milan perhaps could have made easier for themselves. MilanNews transcribed his words to the broadcaster.
What happened at half-time?
“After the first half, we realised hadn’t been aggressive enough in attack. We came back with more attacking desire and scored two goals right away.”
Was that celebration for Leao after the goal?
“It was a mix between Rafa and Pulisic (laughs). I dedicated the goal to them. Not really a dedication, but I think if I imitate their celebration, maybe I’ll score more goals (laughs). We’ll see in the next matches.”
