A report has suggested that Youssouf Fofana will be leaving AC Milan this summer, regardless of who joins the club.
At present, Milan are in no situation to make sales or signings. Though, reports are suggesting that this could change soon. However, it appears that one player will be leaving Milan this summer, even if there is no one to make that call.

Fofana to leave Milan
Indeed, the player set to leave the club is Fofana, according to MilanNews. He was heavily approached in January, but Massimiliano Allegri’s appreciation of the player kept him at the club. Though the rumours never went away.
Instead, there have been whispers of interest spread through the Spring months and now, it seems his fate will be sealed.
As the report puts it, ‘things are different now: it’s the summer and the player is on his way out’. A pretty damning statement indeed for his chances of staying.
The Frenchman has interest from across Europe and in Saudi Arabia, so it should not be hard to recoup the €25 million which was paid for him a few summers ago. Considering a manager is not in place yet, it will be interesting to see if there is an attempt to keep him around…

If do end up using a formation that will only have two CMs, so a 3-4-2-1 or a 4-2-3-1, then it could be a good opportunity to cash in on Fofana and bring in a true no. 6. We have plenty of box to box, mezzala and regista types. We need a real defense capable midfielder, as this hole is one of the reasons our defense has been terrible over the past three seasons. If we somehow stick with a 3 man midfield, then perhaps Fofana still has a role to play as one of the outside midfielders.

One of the worse mittfields MILAN hav had since 1899! That man run, match after match, the least distance compared to all other players! He pretended he covered, he always passed wrong, he missed many open chances and sometimes he hintered our players from scoring goals! Get him rid as soon as possible!

Genuinely one of the biggest disappointments we’ve had in recent years. So much hype around him at Monaco and turned out to be a nervous elephant who couldn’t trap a bag of cement and lost the ball more than he attempted forward passes… absolutely fine with cashing in on him to Saudi.

To be honest… He wasn’t helping our defense much and the numerous chances wasted in the attacking penalty box… We won’t miss those but I’ll admit he gave some stellar passes every now and then. But way too rarely compared to his poor defending & shooting/decision-making.
Could have been a decent backup player but he will be easy to replace as a starter. 🤷♂️

Second, Ricci is the only Italian in the lineup not named gabbia or bartesaghi, and hes proven with torino to be effective in the league when he can actually get more then 30min a month on the pitch and the team has a real plan,so of course we’re holding on to him. Its not his fault allegri was a brain dead clown who had a hard on for Fofana losing the ball. Fofana needs to go, modric will be hard to convince to stay, rlc should go but will be kept for numbers sake, and jashari is another young prospect who needs time to adapt and be given more than 15min cameos every 5 games. You clowns want immediate results from every single new player and thats the exact brain dead thinking which got us in this hole…
