MN: Fonseca will not do a press conference before Monza-Milan

Some rather surprising news has emerged a couple of days out from the game against Monza regarding Paulo Fonseca and the lack of a press conference.

It was presumed that there would be the usual pre-match press conference on the eve of the game, which would be tomorrow, at Milanello. Normally they take place after the training session, so at 14:30 CET.

However, MilanNews are now reporting that no media activities are planned prior to the match, therefore Fonseca’s pre-match press conference will not take place tomorrow and he will not answer questions from journalists as usual.

It must be remarked that at certain times under Stefano Pioli when there was an important Champions League game coming up (Real Madrid is next Tuesday night) he would sometimes forego a press conference before the next league game and speak to Milan TV instead.

However, it is the first presser that Fonseca will miss since being hired in the summer and it will certainly fuel speculation that not all is rosy at the club.

In fact, a report from Calciomercato.com suggested that he only has a few games to turn things around, otherwise his job might not be safe beyond the November international break.

  1. We already know the answer, so it’s not required 😂😂😂

    Below crap answers
    1. Though we lost against Napoli team played with character.
    2. We r still running for championship
    3. Leo in bench coach decision.
    4. RLC will win Player of the year
    5. If u r Italian u don’t have any place in Milan

  2. yeah or like”We have lost 5 games this this season but i belive we can win scudetto and win ucl with emerson scoring a hatrick and rlc winner ballon d’or” fonseca is a lame person he should more be a motivasinol speaker or something

  3. I hope this is a symptom of internal strife suggesting that Fonseca’s days at Milan are numbered and he will be fired soon, given that he is destroying this team. He’s such an incompetent loser! Of course the culprits who are really responsible for the destruction of the team are the clowns who hired him in the first place, and committed several other amateur-grade errors.

Like I’ve been saying, not even firing him at this point is likely to solve any problem. Starting from scratch again after one fourth of the season is already over (and 11 points behind the leaders – and leaders coached by Conte, no less!) is tough for any team. Besides, likely our cheap management will just hire another incompetent yes-man cheap loser, in another lateral move or even a downgrade. If they fire Fonseca, they will replace him with someone just as bad or worse; just wait and see!

Even if they were to aim higher, I think that no good coach who respects himself would want to walk into this mess anyway, knowing that he’d be coaching a team without a sporting director, without a competent scout, with a clown called Ibrahimovic as figurehead, with an owner who says that winning is boring and doesn’t care for trophies, and with financial officers who impose a low cap for hiring players, so that we don’t get any top talent, and are so slow to act that often targets who are actually worthy of consideration get snatched by more agile clubs. Then, we have a roster of players who are not united, who struggle to play as a team, and who misbehave, which is not surprising because that’s what happens when you have lousy leadership (and when the head coach has a knack for throwing his own players under the bus and for picking fights with them).

Still, I’m so sick and tired of Fonseca that even if I have very little hope that his demise will solve anything, I’d still like to see him gone, just so that we don’t need to endure silly post-match press conferences after a home defeat to a title contender, which pretty much heavily damages our title possibilities, still saying that he is more confident than ever and the team did great. Pioli used to say some weird stuff too, but Fonseca’s latest declarations seem to top even the worst Pioli moments of lack of contact with reality.

I mean, more confident than ever, with the team conceding goals all over the place, and collecting 5 losses already and two draws??? Uh, what???

So, on top of being incompetent, Fonseca is also delusional. Great, just great.
