Fonseca calls up four Milan Futuro stars for Lazio trip – the names

One of the more interesting bits from Paulo Fonseca’s press conference ahead of the Lazio game was his confirmation that four Milan Futuro players will be called up.

Fonseca spoke to the reporters who gathered at Milanello for his pre-match press conference this afternoon, which you can read in full here, and he was asked for a fitness update in view of the trip to the capital

He was asked about what has changed regarding Alexis Saelemaekers and Luka Jovic, who the head coach publicly praised but the former is heading for Roma and the latter will not be travelling to Lazio.

“Nothing. Camarda, Zeroli, Bartesaghi and Cuenca will be called up tomorrow. Jovic is injured now. Saelemaekers? We have to pay attention to the players’ ambitions,” he said.

How much playing time they get remains to be seen, but with Jovic out it seems that Francesco Camarda will be the deputy striker at the Stadio Olimpico, while Kevin Zeroli will be a midfield option off the bench.

Davide Bartesaghi could well be the deputy left-back or even centre-back with Malick Thiaw an injury doubt after spraining his ankle, with Hugo Cuenca – a right winger by trade – perhaps the least likely to get minutes.
