Yacine Adli has attracted the interest of Al Shabab, who are in advanced talks with AC Milan, and it remains to be seen if the midfielder will accept.
Since the start of the summer, when Fiorentina decided not to redeem Adli, Milan have been looking for a new club for the midfielder. However, as was the case in the years before as well, the player is very picky as he still wants to stay in the Rossoneri’s first team.

In short, Milan are still facing a difficult task to convince the player to leave, though one would assume that the threat of playing in Serie D with the Futuro helps. According to a report from Footmercato, there are a few clubs in the running.
Three clubs in the race
Per the report, the Saudi Arabia side Al Shabab are even in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Milan for the player. The problem will be to convince the player, seeing as he rejected other ‘exotic’ destinations earlier in the summer, saying no to Russia and Qatar.
In addition to Al Shabab, a Turkish and a Greek team are keeping tabs on the situation, ready to make a move if there is an opening. It seems that a solution could actually be found for Adli, as such, but the Rossoneri cannot celebrate in advance.

Milan have destroyed this young man career
He had ample opportunity to go, how much more shall we spell out that he is unwanted? His fault.
He was never good enough. Should have stayed at Boardaux.
your mind is already destroyed by all the AI slop you watch
He was never anything special.
No one is.
now get Tomiyasu next month… we still need a quality CB in January and ST competition for Santi in the summer
Stop with your silly Tomiyasu fetish. He warms the bench at Arsenal.
Not the bench, more like hospital bed. He’s even currently injured now. They finally have a vacant bed space now that he’s gone.
I dont understand Milan
This player for Fiorentina last season he played 1650 min thats 18 games fully, and he did 5 goals 7 assists as a center and definsiv midfielder !!!
witch other Milan midfielder have that stats? and his goal contribution was every 137 min! No other Milan player had that even Reijnders had 243 min fo goal contribution las season !!
Adli is very talented player and intellegent, I hope Lazio buys him as my next favorite team in Italy.
Which part of Allegri does not need him do you not understand. This’s football in real life and not football manager or fantasy football.
Yes but tactic, formation, position and coach’s preference are important. He did well in Fiorentina’s 3-5-2 under Palladino, but he had support from two more midfielders. He was not as good in the double pivot when we were using that. Now we’re using a 3-5-2, but Allegri prefers Rabiot, Modric, RLC, Fofana, Ricci and Jashari all over Adli. Maybe what IS surprising is that more top 5 league clubs haven’t come forward for him, with clubs from fringe leagues seemingly more interested. That said I would have though that Turkey would be a good destination for him. It’s still a European league and depending on the club, he could be playing in Europe and challenging for domestic silverware. Strange that this option isn’t enticing for him.
He was so great at Fiorentina, they purchased him outright… wait… no they didn’t.
Adli isn’t good enough for Milan no matter how you slice it.
Fiorentina didn’t have an option on Adli. He got injured in January and they ended up getting Fagioli instead for approximately the same position, but with an obligation to buy. Juve had the better deal in terms of selling the player, unlike us. Fiorentina didn’t buy Adli, even though he did better than Fagioli statistically in terms of goals/assists, because it didn’t make financial sense and because they didn’t have a financial obligation to do so. And it didn’t make sense for them to spend twice on a player in the same position.
And instead they signed 3 X players to replace him…
Ricci, Modric and Jashari were all signed instead.
Now Modric is clearly a step up. Ricci hasn’t started yet. and Jashari’s a mostly unproven (next Adli) who is injured.
The chances are that 2/3 will be gone by the end of the season when Adli could’ve provided cover for Modric with very little drama or wasted cost.
A mistery. His stats are great, he does not earn a lot, no significant injury history except one last year. I don’t get why he has no market in Europe. He should change his agent and hire the one of Juric.
The ‘market’ makes zero sense and should not be used as a measure for anyone’s quality.
I think it has something to do with his slow playing style as well, which is not suitable to modern tactics.
He reminds me a bit of Ganso (Neymar’s old teammate).
Milan never give him a second chance which is unfortunate
indeed a mistery.. I wonder why also, did his attitude somehow triggering milan management or something around the way..
There is no mystery here. Adli had more than enough chances at both Milan and Fio and did not manage to convince anyone. Isn’t it telling that not one major club has come in for him? Not one! He isn’t good enough. That much is very clear.
Odd that other teams didn’t go for him, even mid table ones or others in Europe
Maybe he and his agents don’t do backhanders.
That seems to be an important consideration these days.
Ah STFU fake fan. Go support Como or is it Parma now? They have Italians right? I think. And you like Parma ham, match made in heaven
🤣🤣🤣
I fully acknowledge that I didn’t take to Adli.
Part of it was my frustration that he broke through just as the club decided to rip out Krunic and the heart of the midfield.
But I also found him incredibly frustrating because he was so slow in his decision making. Something that was particularly emphasised when compared to Krunic’s decisiveness.
However he’s always given his all for Milan and, as others have said, his stats at Fiorentina were good. And I’d probably have preferred him to at least 1/4 players we signed in midfield. He’d have worked well as an understudy for Modric instead of the (probably) wasted money on Jashari (who I see turning into another CDK).
5 goals and 7 assists last season before he got injured, by the way…
Guarantee you right now neither fofana or RLC will match that this year
