Footmercato: ‘Concerns’ over Milan’s stalled mercato as ‘disagreements continue to grow’

AC Milan are being linked with new players every day but they are yet to get a signing over the line and there is a climate of ‘concern’, a report claims.

A report from Footmercato – which includes some very strong words on the situation at corporate level – states that there is a verbal agreement in place with Daichi Kamada but as of yet it is not official.

Negotiations are still ongoing with Villarreal for Samuel Chukwueze, with Fenerbahçe for the Turkish talent Arda Güler and also with Sassuolo for Davide Frattesi. However, Inter are on pole for the latter, which means the could join them after Marcus Thuram.

Milan have also joined the race for striker Gianluca Scamacca, but it is AS Roma who are ahead in signing the striker from West Ham. Mali international El Bilal Touré is an alternative, yet Almeria have set a high asking price.

Lazar Samardžić of Udinese is a target but once again it looks like a complicated pursuit since Napoli have been after the playmaker for longer, who himself still dreams of moving back to the Bundesliga.

The sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle for €70m should provide a big boost in the multiple stalled negotiations, but the ‘disagreements continue to grow’ over the path that Milan should take.

“Between American modernism and Italian romanticism, concerns persist as the weeks go by. And the roar of the fans is also increasingly heard,” the report concludes.
