FootMercato: Real Madrid join Man Utd, PSG in race for Milan star – player’s stance outlined

By Oliver Fisher -

Real Madrid have become the latest side to enquire about AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer, according to reports from France.

Friday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport confirmed previous discretions from France claiming that PSG and Man City are strongly interested in signing Bennacer – with a €30million proposal from the Ligue 1 club already rejected.

Then, French outlet RMC Sport claimed that Manchester United are the latest club to register interest in the Algeria international, who won Player of the Tournament at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Now, FootMercato are reporting that Real Madrid have become the latest team to join the race for Bennacer. The report states that Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of the 22-year-old and has already pitched his project to the player, a positive conversation according to those close to the situation.

PSG continue their pursuit despite having seen a €30m bid rejected, with their sporting director Leonardo maintaining regular contact with his adviser Moussa Sissoko.

The outlet adds that Bennacer has laid down his requests to PSG regarding a move and they were not deemed excessive, and the Ligue 1 side want to beat the competition, but Real Madrid are now in the running too and have enquired with the player’s entourage.

Manchester United have also surfaced, but Bennacer always favour playing time when making a decision on his future.
