Forbes: AC Milan among 27 sports teams that have doubled brand value

By Isak Möller -

Since Elliott Management took over the club in 2018, AC Milan’s brand value has increased a lot and it has continued to do so since the takeover of RedBird. In fact, the Rossoneri are among the top sports teams in the world.

On their website, the esteemed Forbes have created a list of the 27 sports teams whose brands have at least doubled in the last five years. Milan can be found in 12th place, having seen a 129% increase in their brand value.

Milan are the only Italian team on the list, which is topped by Paris Saint-Germain, and that says a lot about how the Rossoneri differ from their direct rivals. In our latest feature, in fact, we broke down RedBird’s ‘Moneyball’ project for the club.

Of course, in order to keep the brand value Milan will have to achieve consistent sporting results, with the Champions League being absolutely essential for the club’s revenue. A new stadium is also important, but it will take some time to get there.

  1. I can see PSG is falling apart. From what I read here in the articles and comments if you operate like that your days are numbered. 😀

    1. It is already good i think 14th . Gazidiz working well and now furlani job to increase that . Our financial are healthy too

    2. Because Serie A has nowhere near the viewership of EPL, and the average purchasing power of the viewers it has also pales in comparison.

    3. 1) TV-rights
      2) Own stadium
      3) More expensive players

You can start with those three but I’m sure there’s plenty of more reasons too.
