The last four games of the 2025-26 Serie A season will see the final verdicts arrive regarding who has earned Champions League football.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) write this morning, there are four questions that the final four rounds will answer. The fight for the top four involves Napoli, Milan, Juventus, Como and Roma, who are separated by eight points. As a reminder, the Rossoneri need six points to seal a spot.

Who has the most to lose?

The first question is who would lose the most without qualification for the UCL, and the answer is clear: Juventus. Without the revenues from UEFA, the Bianconeri would not be able to carry out the summer mercato that Luciano Spalletti is demanding to return to competing for the Scudetto.

This is a problem that Milan would also have, but that Como would not have. Paradoxically, the Lariani would actually have to review their transfer business to comply with UEFA guidelines, while Roma are now used to managing recruitment without the Champions League.

Who can be heroes?

The second question concerns the players who must make the most of this last opportunity to relaunch themselves also in view of next season.

At Milan, the spotlight is on Ardon Jashari after Luka Modric’s injury. The Swiss’ place in the team does not seem to be at risk for next season, but so far he has not shown much after his €37m move, so some good performances could provide a big boost.

Which matches will be decisive?

Every match from now until the end could be decisive, but perhaps some will matter more than others. The first is Como-Napoli this weekend: a win would give both teams three very important points, but a defeat would be a serious setback.

Milan-Atalanta on matchday 36 will also be a major turning point: a win would make the season easier for the Bergamo team, while for the Rossoneri it would bring them closer to the finish line.

The last two are two derbies. Roma-Lazio on the penultimate day and Torino-Juventus on the final day could have a significant impact on the dreams of the Giallorossi and Bianconeri.

What is at stake for the coaches?

Finally, the paper concludes with an update on the future of the various coaches competing for a place in next year’s Champions League. Last summer there were a lot of changes, but what about this time?

Chivu, Spalletti, Gasperini and Fabregas will almost certainly remain on their respective benches, while the situations of Allegri and Conte are still uncertain due to possible calls from the national team and other situations.
