Olivier Giroudβs goalscoring career was phenomenal, and even last season, when he was not at his best for AC Milan, he still recorded a respectable tally.
A player like Giroud is hard to find, a goalscorer, but more than anything, a fantastic teammate, a leader and an inspiration for the younger players. In fact, Milan even tried to recreate the experiment in the summer, when the Frenchman left, bringing Alvaro Morata to the club.
There was no replacing Giroud though, and the Spaniardβs failures only cemented the Frenchmanβs brilliance.
For his country, the striker was just as phenomenal, and on Sunday night ahead of the game against Croatia, the Rossonero was honoured with a shirt commemorating his goals for the National Team in front of an adoring crowd.
Another special moment for Oli, and very much deserved after a phenomenal international career.

Karim Benzema (a Ferrari or was it a Porsche he said?) said he was a Go-Kart in comparison.
And while they both played in the same positions & for the same nation, its the Go-Kart that is being honored. Haha.
Viva Oli.
