AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer wants to join Paris Saint-Germain but is ’embarrassed’ to request a transfer, a report claims.
A number of outlets have reported that PSG are among the teams interested in signing the Algeria international, who has a €50m release clause which becomes active next year.
According to Competition.dz, both Manchester clubs are also keen as well as Real Madrid, but at present the Milan leadership categorically refuses to sell Bennacer this summer.
During negotiations with the Rossoneri, incoming manager Ralf Rangnick demanded that the tenacious midfielder remains.
However, according to one of the player’s relatives who is in constant contact with him, Bennacer would be tempted by the offer of Paris Saint Germain.
“I would like to sign for this club. Besides the sporting and financial aspect, I love Paris, a city where life is good,” Bennacer apparently told this close friend.
However, Bennacer does not seem inclined to submit a transfer request.
“By correction towards a club which allowed me after a few weeks to have an international reputation, I am really embarrassed to go knock on the door of the president and tell him that I want to leave,” Bennacer apparently added, as per the report.
Bennacer though wants to join PSG if at all possible due to the fact they compete in the Champions League every year, plus they could offer him a pay rise and a chance to move back to the country in which he was born.
