AC Milan are set to complete the signing of Anderlecht midfielder Sambi Lokonga in the January window, reports from Belgium claim.
Calciomercato.com reported earlier in the month that the Rossoneri could look to Anderlecht once again for their next midfield reinforcement one year after the surprise signing of Alexis Saelemaekers, with Lokonga a target on their wish list.
They added that Saelemaekers has personally recommended him to Stefano Pioli, while Belgian source DH reported that Lokonga could leave the Brussels club but he will not do so in the current window, though Milan, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich are keen.
According to information from 4Sporting – a video podcast dedicated to Anderlecht and as cited by Walfoot – Lokonga is all set to join Milan for an amount of €30million.
That would make him the most expensive outgoing transfer in the history of Anderlecht, and they add that Paolo Maldini was also in Brussels to try to finalise the deal yesterday.
