AC Milan are one of four teams in the running to land Strasbourg midfield star Youssouf Fofana, according to the latest reports in France.
We reported earlier on Monday that while the Rossoneri hierarchy are focusing on selling players on the fringes of the project for the time being, there is still an eye towards more potential signings.
One of the positions that the club are looking to strengthen is central midfield, as the switch to a 4-4-2 system has left the likes of Lucas Paqueta with an uncertain future.
According to French outlet RMC Sport – as cited by Mohamed Bouhafsi on Twitter – Milan are targeting a move for Strasbourg’s Youssouf Fofana.
The 21-year-old has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side this season amassing one goal in the process, and is currently a France U21 international.
Bouhafsi claims that Milan’s Lombardy rivals Atalanta have had a €13million bid for the youngster rejected, while competition is also present from Borussia Monchengladbach and AS Monaco.
