From France: Thiago Silva will leave PSG as AC Milan rumours gather steam

By Isak Möller -

Although the season is far from over yet, AC Milan are already making plans for the summer transfer window. Just like in January, they could add some more experience to the squad.

In the summer, several big players will be able to leave for free, sitting on expiring contracts. One of these is Thiago Silva who, as reported by Le Parisien (via MilanNews.it), won’t renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

As the report continues, Milan are monitoring the situation of the defender, who turns 36 in September. It remains to be seen if the Rossoneri will make another Ibrahimovic-esque signing, although one could argue that this one doesn’t make as much sense.

The question, as always when a player gets older, is if he can still perform at a high level. Considering that the Brazilian started in PSG’s Champions League encounter tonight, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him do one more season at the top.
