From Spain: Barcelona boss Koeman dreaming of signing Milan star amid Man Utd links

By Oliver Fisher -

Barcelona have become the latest team to show interest in signing AC Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu, according to a report.

Tuttosport (via MilanLive) reported on Sunday that Milan’s two biggest rivals in Inter and Juventus are ready to tempt the Turkey international by tabling an offer.

The paper adds that overseas clubs like Atletico Madrid and Manchester United have already put the former Leverkusen star in their sights, but Milan are determined to try and find a breakthrough in talks over a renewal.

According to DonBalon, Barcelona are now also in the running for the 26-year-old, who knows that his stock has never been higher and he could sign a big contract at a top club.

Playing in LaLiga has always been a personal target since he made his professional debut, and Ronald Koeman is in love with his character and believes that he could be a perfect fit for the Catalan giants.

It would be a free transfer for the Blaugrana who would not have to pay anything beyond the player’s salary, which is also an ideal scenario for a club hit badly by the COVID crisis and its impact on revenues.
