From Spain: Donnarumma close to signing Milan renewal – pay rise and huge release clause

AC Milan are closing in on securing the renewal of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to a report from Spain.

Todofichajes.com are reporting that Milan are very close to reaching a decisive agreement this week with agent Mino Raiola on the extension of Donnarumma’s contract. The Rossoneri goalkeeper would renew until 2025, therefore signing a four-year extension, and will receive a net salary of €8million per season plus bonuses.

There will be a release clause inserted into the new contract as is the will of Raiola, however there is not as much panic as the reported €50m figure would suggest, because the report claims it will be fixed at €90m.

The renewal is of course facilitated by Donnarumma’s desire to stay at Milan and continue at the club where he has developed so much over the last five years. Those who want to separate the marriage will have to present a very high offer.
