From Spain: Dortmund eye €30m striker to replace Haaland but Milan have concrete interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven but could face strong competition to land him, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Malen remains in the sights of Milan. Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have not lost sight of the young Netherlands international, who represents an ‘idea for the future’ and is valued at €30m.

Malen scored 11 goals in 14 league games last season as the Eredivisie was not fully concluded due to Coronavirus, while this season he has proven that it was not just a flash in the pan, netting 14 goals in 23 league games. In all competitions, he has managed 22 goals and 8 assists so far in 2020-21.

As Fichajes reports, his numbers are more than impressive at the moment which is why he has caught the attention of several of the top teams in Europe.

In addition to Milan, Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing the Netherlands international in the summer transfer window but only if the departure of Erling Braut Haaland takes place. Malen is a more than interesting option for the Bundesliga side and could become a new stone in their project, but Milan have been on his trail for some time.

ESPN recently reported how the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG are all keen on landing Haaland.
