From Spain: Maldini usurps Barcelona as Milan reach €25m agreement over signing of defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Schalke 04 over the signing of defender Ozan Kabak, according to a report.

The Rossoneri have been persistently linked with move for Kabak since the end of the summer transfer window when they first made an attempt to snatch him from the Bundesliga side.

Those links have continued, and according to DonBalòn the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Schalke over the 20-year-old which is around the €25m mark, with Milan beating Barcelona to his signature.

The report adds that the Catalan club were thinking seriously about Kabak to flesh out their defensive department as they will have to do without the injured Gerard Piqué for the next few months.

Kabak is preferred to the French Mohamed Simakan and to the more experienced Davinson Sanchez of Spurs. During the Christmas break, Milan should definitively conclude the deal with Schalke.
