From Spain: Midfielder decides not to renew with Milan – Man Utd, PSG best positioned to sign him

Playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu has decided that he will not renew his contract with AC Milan with two suitors circling, according to a report.

Spanish outlet TF are reporting that Calhanoglu does not plan to sign a new contract and the club will not sell him in the January window, meaning that he is set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The player is calm and continues to give excellent performances under head coach Stefano Pioli, who is already a bit fearful of the idea of not having a player so important to his system for next season.

The 26-year-old will be free to agree terms with another club in January and there are several suitors, with PSG and Manchester United described as the best positioned at the moment.

In our exclusive interview with Christian Falk, the Bild journalist revealed that there is a ‘90% chance’ that Calhanoglu joins United on a free transfer.
