From Spain: Milan and Sevilla alerted as Leicester join race for 81-goal winger on expiring deal

AC Milan are among the teams who have shown ‘great interest’ in Florian Thauvin but they face strong competition, according to a report.

MilanNews reported on Saturday that the Rossoneri have kept in touch with the entourage of Florian Thauvin since the player could be available at a low cost as it is looking unlikely that he will renew with Marseille, where his current deal expires in June 2021.

Tuttomercatoweb then added on Monday that Marseille now resigned to losing him on a free or in a cut-price deal as the player will not renew his contract, with Milan in pole position and readying a bid of around €3million to bring him to San Siro in January.

According to the latest from TodoFichajes, Milan and Sevilla have shown ‘great interest’ in the player, but now Leicester City have Thauvin as a target for next summer. The Frenchman was already on their wish list in the past and now they have resumed their interest.

The Foxes have already contacted the player’s agent, and the outlet adds that Thauvin – who has 81 goals and 56 assists in 247 appearances for Marseille – will not make a decision on his future until the end of the season.
