From Spain: Milan and Sevilla battling for creative duo as Rossoneri table two offers

AC Milan and Sevilla are both battling to sign the same two creative forwards on free transfers, according to a report from Spain.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla are looking at signing 28-year-old Marseille winger Florian Thauvin on a free transfer given he is only under contract until June 30 and therefore represents a golden market opportunity.

The source claims that Milan have presented the Frenchman with an offer of €3million per season net, but the player’s entourage are currently after €4m, so the difference is far from unbridgeable.

The report adds that Sevilla and Milan have also crossed interests when it comes to the signing of Otávio, the 26-year-old Porto playmaker who has expressed his desire to change clubs ahead of next season. They cite Nicolò Schira in claiming that the player hopes to earn above €1million net per season, which is the current proposal from the Rossoneri.
