From Spain: Milan want Salzburg star in January amid fear of Haaland or Mane-esque explosion

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have set their sights on signing a player who looks like he could be the latest sensation to come through the doors of Red Bull Salzburg.

Fichajes.net in Spain writes that both head coach Stefano Pioli and technical director Paolo Maldini want to keep going with the youth-led recruitment drive by signing young and talented prospects who could help the cause now but also develop and grow to form part of the future core.

One of the most recent names to appear on the wish list for the Rossoneri is Brenden Aaronson, one of RB Salzburg’s top talents at the moment. After launching players such as Sadio Mané, Dayot Upamecano or Erling Haaland, the management want to bet on the arrival of the American playmaker before his price skyrockets.

They will try to close the deal during the next winter transfer window, the source claims, and he would help Brahim Diaz catch his breath a bit.
