From Spain: PSG and Real Madrid dealt blow as Romagnoli nears Milan renewal – the figures of the deal

The Serie A season is set to restart for AC Milan on Monday but despite football coming back soon, the Rossoneri are trying to spread their focus on various areas. One of these is also contract renewals, as the club is looking to keep their crown jewels this summer.

Besides the much-discussed contract renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma, which is currently a very hot topic, considering the goalkeeper’s contract with Milan expires in a year, the club is also looking to strike an agreement with another pillar of the team – Alessio Romagnoli.

The defender has a contract with the Rossoneri until June 2022 and his will is to continue with the club. Romagnoli’s desire to remain will likely prove to be a decisive aspect, as there seem to be few doubts about his permanence at the San Siro.

According to TodoFijaches in Spain, Romagnoli’s agent, Mino Raiola will meet with the club management soon to formalize the agreement. The basis of the agreement will be a yearly salary of 3.5 million euros per season and the contract will be prolonged until 2024.

The source adds that PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona are among some of the players that have been monitoring Romagnoli’s situation, but with the Italian’s renewal going through, they will have to look elsewhere.
