From Spain: Spurs and PSG want to sign Milan star but Rossoneri remain confident of renewal

By Oliver Fisher -

As AC Milan negotiate with Mino Raiola for the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma two clubs are monitoring the situation, a report claims.

Raiola recently discussed the future of Donnarumma, a player that Milan are keen to resolve the future of as he is one of the most talented goalkeepers in world football, but his contract expires in June 2021.

“At the moment he is with Milan, then Raiola. If there is a risk of a divorce? For sure, it’s just that Gigio is no longer the one he was four years ago and there are many who inquire about him. But I’ll stop here. I don’t want it to become a media renewal like in the past,” he said.

According to Spanish outlet TF, PSG and Tottenham both ‘intend to add the goalkeeper’ to their squad ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The former have been trying to convince Donnarumma with a ‘juicy contract’ since 2017, but they have not been successful. The latter have Hugo Lloris, Joe Hart and Paulo Gazzaniga, but they are looking for a long-term number one to replace the Frenchman.

Milan remain confident about closing the renewal soon, but should they slip up it is a temptation for two of the most economically powerful clubs.
