It’s the big one tonight at San Siro: AC Milan against Inter at the San Siro, with bragging rights in the city at stake.
The Scudetto train has probably departed without Milan, but tonight is very much last chance saloon if a comeback is to be even a remote possibility. However, Massimiliano Allegri was keen to point out during his press conference, the target is a Champions League place.

This morning’s newspapers in Italy are dominated by talk of the derby, given what is on the line. As a reminder, it is expected to break the record for the highest grossing game in Italian football.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Magical derby. Inter to close the score. Milan to keep it open. Modric, Dimarco (and more): the Scudetto night depends on their feet. Allegri wants to make it seven points with Leao-Pulisic.”
Corriere dello Sport: “Madonnina, what a derby! Scudetto clash: Inter are looking to go up 13, Milan are looking for -7. Thuram has a fever. Bonny is with Esposito. Chivu: ‘No calculations.’ The doubt is Calha. The Nerazzurri haven’t won the derby in 23 months. Allegri: ‘Our goal is to qualify for the Champions League. The future? I’m happy here.’ Estupiñan remains ahead of Bartesaghi.”
Tuttosport: “Leao, comeback fury. Milan-Inter is a Scudetto derby. Lautaro pushes Pio. Max jokes about Rafa: ‘If he stayed home every night, he made a mistake.’ Martinez on the bench even though he’s injured.”
QS: “Derby of truth. Milan believe. Inter are looking for the final push.”
