AC Milan make the trip to face Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in the Sunday night Serie A contest, and a real opportunity has emerged.
If one week ago the title race seemed almost over going into the derby against Inter, winning that game 1-0 at San Siro reopened it a bit, and the Nerazzurri’s draw with Atalanta yesterday means that Milan would reduce the gap to five points with a victory this evening.

Of course it will be easier said than done against a Lazio side that will be backed by a home crowd of over 50,000 after weeks of protests. Below are how the newspapers look in Italy this morning.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan: A chance to go -5. The Diavolo take on Lazio away. Capello: ‘It’ll be tough, but Chivu is confused’.”
Corriere dello Sport: “Inter, two blows. Manganiellata. Chivu protests Manganiello: sent off. Milan on the attack: they can go -5 today. Max challenges Lazio.”
Tuttosport: “Inter, waste and fury. Milan now believe. Tonight, Allegri at Lazio can get to within five points: ‘If they drop points…'”
QS: “A chase to the Max: Leao and Pulisic to conquer the Olimpico. It’s Lazio at 20:45.”
