Gallery: ‘Pioli betrayed’, ‘Milan shock’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

AC Milan had a night to forget against Monza at the U-Power Stadium as they conceded twice in added time to render their second half fightback all for nothing.

The nicest thing to say from a Milan perspective would be that it was an entertaining game as Monza led by two goals at half-time then Luka Jovic was sent off, before the Rossoneri roared back and then were stung again right at the end through goals from Bondo and Colombo.

Below are how the front pages of this morning’s newspapers in Italy look…

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan crumble. They concede 4 goals, no overtake of Juve. Pioli betrayed by squad rotation and Jovic (sent off). In Monza they mount a comeback and then lose in stoppage time.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Max, thank Galliani. Monza beat Milan (4-2) and Juve remain second. Pessina and Dany Mota put Palladino 2-0 up. Jovic sent off in the 53rd, Giroud and Pulisic comeback. Bondo (assist from Maldini Junior) and Colombo decisive. Pioli had not lost in the league since December 9.”

Tuttosport: “Milan shock. Comeback when down to 10, then collapse. Incredible Monza.”
